It’s COOLinary Time Again, New Orleans
It’s the moment locals and visitors alike wait for each year in The Big Easy, COOLinary New Orleans. During summertime, many fabulous restaurants throughout the NOLA area offer outstanding deals on their most delicious menu items.
Guests can enjoy incredible Cajun and Creole cuisine and more, with lunches for $25 or less and brunches and dinners for $45 or less. Plus, you can opt to dine in at some of the most iconic NOLA establishments or pick up your meal to-go. For 2021, COOLinary takes place July 14th through September 5th, so get your taste buds and your appetite ready for a food journey like no other.
Here’s a taste of just a few of the fabulous restaurants participating in the event; which one will you choose? (Hint: You don’t have to pick just one.)
Sylvain
Featuring a laid-back atmosphere and housed in a late 1700s carriage house, Sylvain gets its name from the first opera to appear in New Orleans. The production was a raucous comedy, and today, this popular bistro aims to evoke the same sense of fun. Enjoy French and Creole cuisines in the heart of the French Quarter.
The COOLinary menu features a three-course meal for $45, and the restaurant is open Monday-Thursday from 4 PM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 10 PM.
Tujague’s
Why not enjoy a world-class meal in one of the oldest restaurants in the Crescent City? Tujague’s has been serving mouthwatering Creole cuisine for over 160 years, and it features an unparalleled dining experience.
The COOLinary dinner is available Wednesday through Sunday, 5 PM to 9 PM (till 10 PM on Friday and Saturday). Guests can indulge in an irresistible three-course meal for only $42.
The Pelican Club
Situated in a renovated 19th-century townhouse, this posh eatery offers Louisiana dishes with a contemporary spin. While you dine, you can enjoy looking at paintings throughout the restaurant from many talented local artists.
The restaurant will begin offering its COOLinary menu on July 29th, Wednesday through Sunday, from 5 PM to 9 PM. It will feature a three-course meal showcasing an array of selections for $45. Guests will also have the option of choosing from several add-ons, like creamy shrimp bisque or shrimp, chicken, and andouille gumbo.
